Vocational education believed to lead the country to a promising future.
BANGI: Umno Youth will intensify its efforts to promote technical
and vocational education as the main stream under the national
education system.
Its chief, Khairy Jamaluddin, said technical and vocational education
would lead to a promising future for those with the right skills due
to the country`s rapid economic growth.
"We want more bright students to choose this stream as the
main option. We do not want to see it being regarded as a second chance
for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia dropouts.
"We will organise more programmes with colleges and companies
to draw more students," he said after opening the Institute of
Automobile Technology`s Malaysian Skill Certification convocation here
