Objective
  • Scholarship for STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) related courses only.
    Requirement
    • Applicants must be a Malaysian Citizen with Sarawak Connection (either parent).
    • First Degree students pursuing studies at public institutions of higher learning (IPTA) and selected private institutions of higher learning (IPTS) in the country with CGPA of 3.00 and above. (Full Time Course)
    • Research-based post graduates studies (Masters, PhD & Specialists) in specialized fields at local and foreign universities. (Full Time Course)

      (Note: 2021/2022 Session, Intake is for study in Local Institution ONLY.)

      • Attending Bachelor Degree in local university.
      • Attending Master Degree and PhD locally and abroad.

      • Priority to the list of courses offered and passed the interview.
      • Application open once a year through local advertisement.
    • Research-Based: 
      • Research-based studies for Master, PhD & Specialists locally and abroad.
      • Priority to the list of courses offered and passed the interview.
      • Application open throughtout a year.
      Assistance
      • BYSTT (Course Work):
        • Online Application.
        • Applications are opened once a year and will be published through advertisements on the Yayasan Sarawak Official Website, Social Media of Yayasan Sarawak and Local Newspapers.
      • BYSTT (Research-Based): 
      Objective
      • Scholarship for Non-STEM.
      • Attending a Bachelor in local university only. (Full Time Course)
      • Attending Master / PhD locally and abroad. (Full Time Course)
      Requirement
      • Applicants must be a Malaysian Citizen with Sarawak Connection (either parent).
      • Excellent academic achievement at least Grade B and above in each subject at STPM level.
      • Acquire a CGPA of 3.00 and above for Diploma / Matriculation / A-Level graduate and Bachelor’s Degree.
      Assistance
      • First Degree:
        Tuition Fees, Living Allowance, Book Allowance, Project Paper Allowance, Equipment Allowance, Practical Exercise Allowance & Thesis Allowance.
      • Postgraduates (Master & PhD):
        Tuition Fees, Living Allowance, Book Allowance, Equipment Allowance, Thesis Training Allowance & Final Study Allowance.
      • Round-trip flight tickets (once a year within the country and once throughout the course for overseas).
      Application
      • Applications are opened once a year and will be published through advertisements on the Yayasan Sarawak Official Website, Social Media of Yayasan Sarawak and Local Newspaper.
      • Online Application.
      Objective
      • Scholarship for students pursuing a Bachelor of Medicine Program at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS).
      • Every year 40 students will be selected as an effort to increase the number of doctors in Sarawak.
      Requirement
      • Applicants must be a Malaysian Citizen with Sarawak Connection (either parent).
      • Obtained the offer and validation of medical program studies at Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS).
      • Passed the interview process.
      Assistance
      • Tuition fees, living allowance, transportation allowance, accommodation allowance, book assistance, equipment allowance, project paper allowance.
      • Application through UNIMAS.
      Objective
      • Scholarship for secondary school students in Sarawak who are low-income families.
      • Funding students to continue schooling as well as encourage student academic performance improvements.
      Requirement
      • Applicants must be a Malaysian Citizen with Sarawak Connection (either parent).
      • Open to secondary school students and priorities are given to Form 2 students.
      • Student selection filters are based on family income per capita and academic performance that has been approved by the school.
      • Students are NOT recipients of scholarships or financial assistance from government or other parties.
      • Students do not have discipline problems in school.
      Assistance
      • The fixed rate for Forms 2 – 5 is RM400.00 per student.
      Application
      • Application form is distributed to the schools through the the Sarawak State Education Department (JPNS).
      Objective
      • Funding early-stage costs for students who started their studies to Institutions of Higher Learning.
      Requirement
      • Applicants must be a Malaysian Citizen with Sarawak Connection (either parent).
      • Open to students for semester one (1) only.
      • Pursuing a full-time study mode.
      • Pursuing studies at Skill/Technical Training Institution organized by the government, Public Higher Learning Institutions, Curtin Miri, Swinburne Kuching, UTS Sibu, Kolej Laila Taib Sibu and i-CATS University College.
      • Parents / guardians have a per capita income of RM1,500.00 and below.
      • Entry level to Certificate / Matriculation / Foundations / Pre-Diploma / Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree at Public Higher Education Institution, Matriculation College organized.
      Assistance
      • The grant rate (no payback) as follows:
        In Sarawak : RM1,000.00
        Outside Sarawak : RM1,500.00
